Touchtype: Landscape Keyboard Workaround for iPhone

December 31st, 2008

Great iPhone app I just added this week to type emails in Landscape mode. I didn’t get why Apple still hasn’t fix this issue yet, but I am glad Michael Schneider develop this Touchtype app for iPhone users like me who have been use to typing on a tactile keyboard and give us a little more room to thumb our way throuh the touchscreen QWWERTY Keyboard.

Using Vlingo Voice Command for iPhone & Blackberry

December 21st, 2008

While this video shows the Vlingo application for iPhone, it is available fo Blackberry & various other devices. Currently, it is only able to update Facebook and Titter for Social Networks via voice command. I expect Vlingo to expand this to additional Social Networks but in the meantime its still a pretty nice app and will make it a little safer for folks updating on the road because we never text update while we drive ;). It will even do voice cammands for Google searches, map directions and much more. Best part, its FREE !

Great tool for Sales Person & Wireless Mobile Warrior

December 9th, 2008

Livescribe is a great tool for sales people. I currently use the Logitech i/O pen, but i doesn’t have synchronized recorded notes like this one. While the ultimate would be using OneNote on a tablet, this is a close 2nd. Especially if you want to shell out $1500+ for a tablet.

While this video shows the pen being used for academic purposes, you could see how it would be great for client/prospect consults, sales meetings and more. You ever forget some of the details surrounding your notes? This solves that challenge! I could even see I bluetooth email tie to it as well to a cell phone to sms or email it to you real-time when you are done. Curious to hear audio quality to do a “Pencast.” It has a 1GB (100 hrs) & 2GB (200 hrs)  version right now.

Would love to test one out and see how it compares with the i/O pen. Anyone from Livescribe out there want a live review on the Road Warrior Show ?

T-Mobile G1 Barcode Scanning Apps

December 2nd, 2008

I have talked a lot about cool apps for iPhone, WinMo, etc. This one is a really slick one for the G1 android phone. Great way to check out prices real time using a bar code and the G1 Phone.

The future applications is huge without high hardware investments for the small business.
