Running Windows on iPhone w Parellels

November 24th, 2008

A while back I wrote a post on using Parallels to run Windows OS on a MAC. I found a video where someone used Parallels to run it on an iPhone. Might be a nice way to remote in and really view your desktop PC & not have to lug around a laptop if you are a PC user.

Google Voice Recognition Mobile App for iPhone

November 17th, 2008

Google’s new voice recognition takes search to the next level. You can just talk in to it to get movie times, search for restaurants & much more by just talking into an iPhone. It will even do a Geo-search base on location. So, if you say “movie times” and you are in Richmond, Virginia (VA) then it will give you movie times in Richmond, Virginia (VA). I can even see some cool tie in for Social Media in the future. Particularly Facebook, Twitter and some other social sites.

You can download it from iTunes or the app store.

Twitter Squatting

November 11th, 2008

People have been squatting on domains for years. Now with the popularity of Twitter, there is new opportunity there are folks squatting Twitter ID’s.

How might this affect you?

Well if you go to register for a twitter account, your

Twitter ID may be taken. Typically Twitter ID’s follow

the formula www.twitter.com/name . Everything from

AMEX to a person’s name has been taken. Like a domain,

this is often the first way someone may look for you on

twitter.

Just like domains were hot in the late 90’s and early 2000’s as virtual real estate, so too has social networking ID’s, paritcualry twitter. Wondering why Twitter? Come to a SUCCESSWERKS Social Media Crash Course by visiting www.successwerks.com/registration
